SSS Wednesday Challenge

Hi everyone,

I made this card for may daughter's friend for her birthday.

I used Recollections paper, Paper Smooches stamp set and SSS January CKOM for the balloons.  I paper pieced the hippo and used the sentiment from that set.  I used my Cuttlebug embossing folder swiss dots to emboss the white card stock and I used America Crafts twine in blue.

Thanks for stopping by.

Stenciled - Day 4 Last day of class

Hi everyone,

Well today is the last day of class and here is my card.  I have to say that this is much nicer in person.  I cut out the leaves on my Silhouette and coloured the green with a copic marker and the other one with Dark Quartz shadow ink and I also used it for the "you".

I want to thank all of you who took the time to have a look at my blog and I also want to say what a great job all the participants have done.  You should all be proud of your creations as they are wonderful.

I also want to say Thank you for all the hard work the folks at SSS for organizing these classes and the wonderful, talented designers who come up with all the challenges for us.

With that said there is another class starting in March and I can't wait to start another class.

Have a wonderful day!

Thanks for stopping by!

Stenciled - Day 2

Hi everyone,

Today (really yesterday) in class we are using stencils in a bit of a different way.   We used it by scribbling inside the stencil as a different technique.  Here is the card I did using the technique.

I used on of SSS striped stencils and I took a few pinks and reds and I did lines as the background.  I cut out a heart with my Silhouette and popped it up.  I stamped the sentiment directly on the card as well as on the heart so that I would have the full image showing.  Then to tie in the heart I did the dash lines.  Unfortunately I didn't think of it until after I put it on the card!

Thanks for stopping by, see you tomorrow!

Stenciled - Day 3

Hi everyone,

Today in class we are using dimension by using embossing pastes.  I only have the white but would love to get the clear.

Here is my card for today.

I used dies from SSS as well as a stamp set from Ali Edwards.  I stamped the sentiment in Hero Arts Charcoal Shadow ink an I cut the hearts out of basil card stock that came in one of my SSS CKOM (sorry I don't have the name)  The patterned paper is from MME Lost & Found from a few years ago but you can still get it.

Thanks for stopping by, see you tomorrow!

Hi everyone!

This is my card for today I was inspired by Debbie's card.

I used card stock, stencil, tiny sequins and stamp set are from different SSS card kits. The velum is from Michaels (Recollections) and the twine is American Crafts and I got that from Michaels as well.  I used Hero Arts Fresh Peach shadow ink.

Thanks for stopping by, see you tomorrow for another card.

A few cards

Hello everyone!

I finally got some pictures uploaded from the holidays.  I didn't get as much time as I would have liked to but I did get to do a few things.

The first card is the latest one I did for a co-worker as her birthday is tomorrow.  I used CTMH and Paper Smooches stamp sets and for the ink, I used Hero Arts shadow inks and some of the new SSS dye inks as well.  I have to say I love the SSS inks and can't wait to get the chance to collect more of them.

For this card I used the SSS January CKOM.  I love the little alien.  I am no expert with the colouring and I wish it was better at it.  I used a TH distress marker "fire brick" and I tried using a water brush with it and it was an epic fail, but I was able to just colour over it with the marker and it hid a multitude of mistakes.

This card I used the curved die from SSS that I got in my Christmas Stocking and an Ali Edwards stamp set.  The sequins were actually acquired from my daughters bag of sequins from Michaels that has a ton of different shapes and thought these would make a nice a addition.

Last but not least I finally got the "Yeti" stamp set from Lawn Fawn and did up this card.  I saw something similar done and unfortunately it was too long ago and I can't find the sit anymore.

I will be starting the latest Online Card Class January 24th and I can't wait.  It is a short class but it will be fun.

Thanks for stopping by.  See you soon!
