AAA Card Game 49 - Word Play

Hi everyone,

I'm here today and our challenge today is mostly words.

I love fall and all of it's colours so I decided to got with an ombre look with my words.

I used the WPlus9 Sunshine die and cut it out of some water colour paper and used my water colours to create the ombre.  I used the SSS stitched rectangles to cut out the panels and popped them up on an A2 card base.

Thanks for playing along and don't forget to link up here.  We always love to see what you do.

Happy Fall - Card

Hello everyone,

Fall is my favourite time of year.  I love the cooler days and nights cause I love wearing my fuzzy socks!

I love these stitched leaves from Lawn Fawn and they are so much fun to water colour too!

I used a variety of distress inks for these as well as some perfect pearls powder.  As I heated them with my heat gun they curled (as it normally does when you heat set paper) and they looked realistic so I went with.

I used the LF stitched rectangle dies and the newest stitched oval dies to create the front panel.  I popped it up with foam tape and filled it with seed beads and sequins (some are from Pretty Pink Posh and some are from my stash) and there you have a shaker!

I added a panel to the back so that I could work with it and adhered it to a card base.  I then added on the leaves and that was it!

HELLO, Sunshine!

Hi everyone!

It's Coralynn here and I'm back with a tag for you today.

I am loving the pineapple background from MFT.  It gives your projects just that extra small touch.

I used the MFT  Polynesian stamps and die set and used my copics to colour in the images. Then used the MFT Stitched tag stax as well as the Lawn Fawn stitched oval dies for this project. I stamped the background with a light yellow ink and I stamped the sentiment with Memento Onyx black ink.  I popped up the girl and flowers with foam tape.  To finish it off I added some natural twine from my stash and some Wink of Stella.

Be sure to stop by the shop,  there are lots of new goodies added everyday!

Thanks for stopping by, see you again!

AAA Card Challenge #48 - Autumn Colours / Fabric

Hi everyone,

I'm here with the AAA Cards Challenge and it's all about autumn colours and fabric.

I used both on my card.  I started out with a square card base and I have a few fabric charm packs and  they were all fall colours and thought this would be cute as a background on a card.

I coloured in the sweet little image in with copics and added some Wink of Stella for her dress.  I added some sequins from my stash and heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder on some vellum.

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!!!

Skipping Stones Designs Tip / Technique Blog Hop!

Hi everyone,

Welcome to the Tip/Technique Blog Hop!

We are all sharing a tip or a favourite technique with you and we hope you will hop along with us.

Mine is a tip.  I use the round blending sponges for all types of inks and I found these round velcro dots and my local dollar store (you can also find something similar in the sewing section of your local Walmart or Targets or even The Dollar Tree).

They are adhesive backed so they stick right to the underside of the ink pad and then I can stick my little foam pad right to it.  That way I don't have to worry about storing them and them trying to find them!

Here is a birthday card I made with the Grunge set and the new mini set Elephant End.

Here is the line up for the hop.  I can't wait for you to see what all the other amazing DT members have in store for you!

You have until Wednesday September 16 at 5:00PM EST to comment.

Skipping Stones Designs - Wishes Come True

Hi everyone,

Coralynn here and I'm back with a birthday card.

I started out with the Dandelion Dreams stamp set and I stamped it on a panel I cut out with a stitched rectangle die and adhered that to a brown piece of yardstick.  I used a few brown inks to make it look like all the little pieces were blowing in the wind.  I remember as a kid blowing on these and making a wish!

I stamped the sentiment in chocolate ink as well as the dandelion and I added some wink of stella as well as some brown and beige sequins.

We are having a blog hop on Saturday September 12 and it's all about tips and techniques.  So don't forget to hop along with us, it will be fun!!

Hippo Birdie to You!!!

Hi everyone!

For the background I started out with the large tag die from Mama Elephant.  I used a stencil I cut out with my Silhouette (random 1" circles on a 6x6 square) and used the Cracked Pistachio distress ink and added it to one side of the circles to give it dimension.  I then took a Sharpie marker that matched and traced open circles and then complete circles with a multi liner.

Then I used the banner from the same die set and cut it out of vellum and a teal card stock from my stash.  I used Versafine Onyx black to stamp the sentimennt and clear embossed it.

I used copics to colour in the sweet images from the LF Hippo Birdie mini stamp set, popped them up with foam tape and added some sequins to finish off the card!

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!
