Skipping Stones Design Tip/Technics Hop

Hi everyone!

We are back with our Skipping Stones Design Tip/Technics Hop.

For my card I used the Uplifting stamp set and I thought that this was a tree line but it very well could be clouds.  But it's what ever you want it to be and today I wanted it to be clouds.

I used my copics to colour in the images and for the clouds I did a technique with a piece of terry cloth tower that I cut a corner out of.  I take my colourless blender solution and I add it to the piece of cloth and I push it onto the paper where the ink is.  After it dries it has the texture of the material and it gave the clouds some interest.  I then added the sentiment with black pigment ink.

I cut out the front panel with a rectangle die that had wonky lines around the edge and popped it up with foam tape onto the card base.

Then once I was finished adding the panel to the card base and colouring the images, I added the glossy accents to the hot air balloon and called the card done.

For my tip today is when I get in enamel dots, I got and cut off the top cellophane and leave the top of the paper backing so that I can find the colour easily in my stash.

I open the package from the bottom first and then pull out the product and cut off the top then push it back up and close the bottom up.

This way the colour is at the top and I can pull out the enamel dots out the top!

Here is the DT Line up for this hop.  Be sure to hop along with all the DT members for some great inspiration and great tips or techniques.

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon.
